Welcome to Hawthorn Class!

May 2019: A quick update
I write this full of pride. Well done to Hawthorn - and all of year 6 - for putting their absolute all into their SATs tests this week. They showed resilience, confidence and real success in all of their exams. The children sat 6 different tests and some were incredibly challenging but they kept a smile on their face and tried their best. Thank you and well done!
Today (17/5/2019), we had a special celebration day with the children. The morning saw a carousel of outdoor activities, mindfulness colouring and painting, making chocolate cornflake cakes and chopping fruit/vegetables for the afternoon. We had a movie afternoon with delicious popcorn watching Paddington 2 and enjoyed a party with snacks at the end of the day. A very well-deserved treat!
Back to normality on Monday with a normal week of school :)
Please remember that Hawthorn Class will be swimming every Tuesday morning, leaving at 9am. Swimming is part of the National Curriculum and therefore it is crucial that every child takes part. An incredibly important life skill to have! Children will need a swim suit (trunks/costume), a swimming hat, towel and goggles (goggles are optional but recommended!)
