Welcome to Olive Class!

Welcome to our class page.

We are excited about the great and productive start to the new term! The children have settled in very well with classroom routines and learning.

Here are some important things to remember:

Reading Books will be changed every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Remember to read everyday for  at least  20 mins everyday. Some children will finish their reading books everyday and they are more than welcome to have their books changed regularly.

Spellings will be sent every Friday for a test the following Friday morning. We will be practising spelling every morning in focus time. Extra practise at home will be appreciated.

Home work was sent on 5th April and the homework pack contains labelled activities and tasks for each week of this term. Children will work through the pack weekly and hand in the homework pack on the 20th May.

Rock Star Times Table log in details have been sent home. Every child has a user name and password with their own avatar. The avatar can move up levels with practise on the programme. Extra practise at home will help the children with their timed tests at school.

The children are tested on their knowledge and speed of the timetables every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

P.E lessons are on Monday and Wednesday. the Children should bring their P.E and can leave it at school in their lockers and take it home the last day of terms to be washed. Please send your children will the correct P.E according to the weather conditions. Jogging bottoms and sweatshirts for this term please!

Children can bring in any special items for 'Show and Tell' throughout the week, which encourages speaking and listening skills and gives the children an opportunity to talk confidently about something they love or have achieved building their self-esteem and confidence.
