Home Learning (during self-isolation)

If a child tests positive for Covid or has been asked by Track and Trace to self-isolate, they will be asked to complete the following learning whilst they are at home (providing that they are well enough to do so).

  • 30 minutes TT Rockstars;
  • 30 Minutes Numbots;
  • Any MyMaths homework set by their teacher;
  • 30 min Spelling Shed;
  • 30 minutes reading (either from their school reading book or any book that is suitable at home);
  • Study the Knowledge Organisers for the topics that they are covering at the moment (these can be found under the Curriculum tab);
  • KS2 children visit BBC Bitesize (https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/levels/zbr9wmn) and do some extra revision on the topics that they are covering;

In the event of a whole class (or year group) has to learn from home, Riverside children will use Google Classroom. Each child (Year 1 Year 6) has their own Gmail login and access to Google Classroom. For children in Nursery or Reception, their teachers will post work for the day on the Class Pages section of the school's website.
