Make your own playdough
At school we love to make playdough, it's great for fine motor skills and our imagination. Below is a simple recipe for playdough you can make at home. What can you make?
You will need
- 8 tbsp plain flour
- 2 tbsp table salt
- 60ml warm water
- food colouring
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
1. Mix the flour and salt in a large bowl. In a separate bowl mix together the water, a few drops of food colouring and the oil.
2. Pour the coloured water into the flour mix and bring together with a spoon.
3. Dust a work surface with a little flour and turn out the dough. Knead together for a few minutes to form a smooth dough.
4. Store in a plastic sandwich bag (squeeze out the air) in the fridge to keep it fresh.
We also use play dough for Dough Disco, see if everyone at home can join in.
The Bugman is sharing videos online of some of his other animals, take a look at his facebook page and see if you can draw a picture of the animals you can see. Which is your favourite? https://en-gb.facebook.com/pg/QuirksAnimalRoadshows/videos/?ref=page_internal
