Olives, I hope you are all doing well!

 

We will be updating this page daily and leaving lots of exciting tasks, to get you all thinking hard, gaining knowledge and refining your skills. It is also very important due to the current situation to retain positive mental and physical health.

 

Please note that there are no expectations of timings for the activities, olive class try your best and spend as long as you need in order to complete the tasks.

TASK 1 Maths

 Use your workbook and draw the shape and write the matching fraction next to it.

 

Use the symbols <, =, > to compare the fractions.

 

 

TASK 2 Writing/SPAG

 

Use the Year 3 and 4 common exception words (link below)

 

Each sentence has one incorrect spelling from the year 3and 4 common exception words list, use the list and write the full sentence in your workbooks with the correct spellings.

TASK 1 Maths-  Use your work books

 

Using a ruler, draw and label the following lines accurately:

 

  1. 11cm.
  2. 15mm
  3. 8cm 4mm
  4. 6cm

 

Solve these length number sentences (Top Tip: convert to the same unit of measure):

 

  1. 11cm + 15mm =
  2. 6mm – 2mm =
  3. 1m 10cm + 20cm =
  4. 608mm – 4cm =

Reading

  • Share a story together. This could be a chapter book where you read and discuss a chapter or log into getepic.com and use a digital book.
  • Read to an adult and discuss what you have read. Do not forget to read with expression and intonation.

  1. Three things you have learnt from the article.
  2. Two things you would like to research after reading the article.
