Writing Task

Listen to the story: While We Can't Hug by Eoin McLaughlin

Today's writing task is to write an informal letter to your friend just like Tortoise and Hedgehog did to each other.

Writing Targets

E7C- I can use apostrophes for possession and contractions.

E3B- I can organise my work into sections using a series of devices (e.g. beginning to paragraph).

E7A- I can use capital letters and full stops mostly correctly.

Task 1 - To write an informal letter you can use contractions, these are words that have been shortened using an apostrophe. For example: it is = it's.

Task 2 - You need to organise your letter into paragraphs.

Task 3 - Make sure you add capital letters and full stops at the correct place.

Use the word mat below to help you with task 1.

SEND YOUR LETTERS TO THE CLASS EMAIL ADDRESS AND WE WILL PUT THESE ON THE CLASS PAGE FOR YOUR FRIENDS TO READ. I AM SURE THEY WILL BE THRILLED TO HEAR FROM YOU!
