Each class has voted in one of their friends to represent their class on the Riverside School Council. Ms Shepherd is the teacher in charge of the Riverside School Council. Ms Shepherd meets with the Riverside School Council on a regular basis to discuss the areas of school life that the children believe we can improve on. Following these meetings the children report back to their classes on any decisions made and any upcoming events that children need to know about.

In Academic year 2024-2025, the school council organised the school Halloween Disco and the annual Riverside's Got Talent Show. Additionally, the councillors raised funds for their chosen charity 'Hearing Dogs for the Deaf' by holding a bric a brac and toy sale. 

This year, the school council is creating a link with another local school- St Lukes Primary and we hope to be building relationships and connections between the schools. Our first network meeting will be in Autumn 2 , hosted by Riverside councillors.
