Children in Years 2-6 are taught comprehension skills in daily reading lessons. Each teaching unit targets one comprehension skill which is introduced through a modelling session and then practised using test style questions. The children are exposed to a range of text types including poetry and playscripts that increase in difficulty as the progress through the units.
